A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD
A BULWARK NEVER FAILING...
I was singing this in the shower and thought "what exactly is a bulwark"
it can be used to describe something that protects from something else.
I think my favorite was "a breakwater," or a wall that protects from the full impact of a wave.
As I've followed Christ more on my own journey, I've noticed that He shelters me from the full force of the pain that could come my way. Beyond that, He surely has taken the whole of my sin, and the pain and shame it should bring me. Praise God, for He is our great helper.
Praise God for His blessings, even those unseen.

Digital Zion

Digital Zion
For real, God's so faithful.
God sent me home this summer, I didn't want to come home, I didn't want to see my old man. He yells, a lot. God sent me here, and guess what, He's here with me.
My dad yells sometimes, but God is teaching me to hold my tongue and not yell back, which is helping him yell less.
Please be praying that God will teach me more patience.
Also, I'm learning to rely on Him for my support, not on having a job. I'm still unemployed, after 3 weeks. It doesn't sound that long, but I've got resumes and and applications in at almost thirty places and scarcely a bite, but God is taking care of my needs through parents, or other means. (I got a check from Barnes & Noble for my vacation and personal time payout, even though I wasn't supposed to.)
Lastly, I think the school has my site working, if you'd like to hear the sermon I preached a few months back (my first ever) follow to this site.

Post-op Praise

It is evident that God has responded to prayer. My surgery went smoothly, and my recovery was quick and almost pain-free. After my operation, I didn't even have to use my pain meds!!! How amazing it is that God has been faithful in keeping my body strong and healthy! Now I am even more pumped to be used for his works, (hernia-free). Praise God for his goodness and faithfulness! Thank you for your prayers!!!

One more thing.

I'm having surgery on Wednesday, the 10th - repairing a "ventral hernia"... It's a pretty standard operation, but I ask that you pray for everything to go smoothly, as well as my recovery. Thanks!

A Prayer Request...

My two friends, Stacy and Shannon, have never before experienced a church or had a faith life. However, both have recently started attending a really awesome bible study regularly and have gotten involved in that community of believers. Both have yet to commit themselves to Christ, however, they show so much excitement for the group of people ("there's just something different about being here, and it's really good") and so much interest in the Word. I'm confident that both Stacy and Shannon are on a path to meeting their father and savior and committing themselves. He has already provided for them a passionate and supportive group of believers, and he's stirred up their hearts and called them. Please pray that each would continue to turn towards God's word and seek Him out. Both have different struggles in their lives- pray that God would use this time in their lives to draw them in even closer. God is so exciting and so faithful! I'm pumped to see my friends grow in their understanding and love for Him. Thanks for your prayers.

Mission: Cedar Point

It's about to begin!
Jessica and I will be arriving at Cedar Point Sunday morning.

I've created a blog for the mission where I and others on the team will be posting updates and prayer requests: http://missioncp.blogspot.com/

Check that blog out throughout the summer.

Praise God for this awesome opportunity that He has given us to serve Him!
